Never been here. Never done this.
The Slingshot S is fun in its purest form. Its open-air, road-hugging ride introduces the driver to the pavement as if you’re meeting for the first time again. Its waterproof cockpit surrounds you in the environment. A 5-speed manual transmission throws power to an asphalt-hungry rear wheel. And standard? ABS disc brakes and Electronic Stability & Traction Control. It all comes together for one mission — slap a grin across your face a mile wide.
Slingshot meets all legal requirements and is equipped for use on all public roads.
The classification of Slingshot is state-dependent. The most common classifications are motorcycle, which requires a motorcycle endorsement or license, and autocycle, which only requires a state drivers license.
Helmet laws vary from state to state and are dependent on Slingshot classification. Slingshot recommends always wearing a DOT approved full face helmet.
Slingshot's lightweight design and 173 HP provide an impressive power-to-weight ratio.
